How to read online casino bonus terms
The headline amount is advertising. The usable value depends on the conditions, calculations and restrictions underneath it.
TURNOVER CALCULATION
Calculate what must actually be wagered
First identify the base. A “30×” requirement can apply to the bonus only, the deposit plus bonus, winnings from free spins, or another defined amount. The multiplier is incomplete without that base.
A$100 deposit + A$100 bonus
If 30× applies to deposit plus bonus: 30 × A$200 = A$6,000 of qualifying turnover.
If 30× applies only to the bonus: 30 × A$100 = A$3,000.
This is an arithmetic example, not a recommendation or an operator offer. Turnover is not the same as guaranteed loss, but repeated wagering increases exposure to the game’s mathematical edge and can consume time and money.
ELIGIBLE PLAY
Game contribution changes the real workload
Terms may count different games at different percentages. If slots contribute 100% but a table game contributes 10%, an A$10 wager may reduce the remaining requirement by A$10 on the first game and only A$1 on the second. Some games may contribute nothing or be excluded completely.

STAKE LIMITS
A maximum-bet rule can invalidate otherwise qualifying play
Some bonuses cap the amount that may be staked per round while wagering is active. Check whether the cap includes split hands, bonus buys, side bets or simultaneous bets. Also confirm the currency: a numeric cap copied across currencies may not be equivalent.
The cashier may allow a larger stake even when the bonus terms prohibit it. Technical availability does not cancel the written condition.

Expiry, excluded games and changing terms
Record when the bonus begins and exactly what expires: the right to claim it, the bonus balance, free spins, winnings or the remaining wagering requirement. “Seven days” can mean seven 24-hour periods or the end of a calendar date in a stated time zone.
